One of the oldest languages on earth, Sanskrit is the fascinating language of yoga, Buddhism, Hinduism, and some of the world's earliest texts on math, philosophy, and poetry. Unlike other ancient languages, Sanskrit is still spoken (it's one of India's 22 official languages) and marveled over by scholars. Discover some of the interesting details that make Sanskrit --which translates to "adorned, cultivated, perfect"-- unlike any other.
