As of 2022, Montana has the highest suicide rate in the nation (cdc.gov), a rate that has increased by 43.5% since 2020. 

Learn how to respond to someone considering or at-risk of suicide during this workshop by Tamarack Grief Resource Center.

Question, Persuade, Refer (QPR) is a suicide prevention training that teaches participants to respond empathetically and effectively to someone thinking about suicide. 

QPR teaches us to recognize the warning signs of a suicidal crisis and connecting someone in crisis with helping resources. This workshop covers 3 simple steps anyone can learn to help support someone who is thinking about suicide:

  1. Having a conversation about suicide
  2. Offering hope
  3. Connecting someone to resources. 

QPR is appropriate for any adult interested in learning how they can be part of reducing suicide in their community.
