Would you like to learn how to safely view the surface of our sun?  Carolyn Mirich from the Western Montana Astronomical Association is coming to North Valley Public Library to show us lots of ways to do just that! With two specialized telescopes and some clever alternatives, Carolyn will teach us several ways to safely view our earth's source of light.

The WMAA was founded in 1982 and is located in Missoula, Montana.  They are dedicated to a personal appreciation of astronomy and to expanding public awareness of the night sky and astronomical happenings. With over 20 members and an assortment of equipment, the club hosts monthly meetings, participates in outreach events, and helps to support the Blue Mountain Observatory’s open houses.
